The stiffer blank handles greater sustained static load during the drone's outbound flight without fatigue, and the higher PE rating gives you the breaking-strain margin to stop powerful first runs before fish reach structure.

Why Overhead for Serious Drone Fishing?

Overhead configuration is the preferred setup for Australian drone anglers running electric reels. Line retrieves without the twist that spinning reels introduce over hundreds of metres, and the direct line path suits powered retrieval from Daiwa Tanacom and similar electric overhead reels — critical when recovering 600-1,000m of PE braid after every deployment.

Complete Your Heavy-Duty Drone Fishing Setup

Fishing drones — SwellPro Fisherman MAX and other heavy-lift platforms

Electric reels — Daiwa Tanacom and Seaborg for powered retrieval

Bait release systems — heavy-duty releases matched to this rod's capacity

Drone rigs & terminal tackle — heavy rigs for big-fish applications

Delivery: Australia-wide shipping.
